Fireflies takes notes on every meeting. Kafuu closes deals on sales calls.
Fireflies is a capable horizontal meeting assistant at a great price. Kafuu is sales-native and Gulf-native: it briefs you before, coaches you live in Arabic and English behind a screen-share-protected overlay, then updates CRM fields and trains your reps.

A notetaker for every meeting, or a platform for the meetings that pay
Fireflies deserves its install base: unlimited free transcription, 100+ languages including Arabic, wide platform coverage, and, credit where due, real-time Live Assist and Sales Assist suggestions. For an organization that wants notes on every meeting cheaply, it is a strong pick.
But sales calls are not “every meeting”. Fireflies’ default is a visible notetaker bot in the participant list; the bot-free desktop mode is paid, and audio still routes through their cloud. Arabic is a transcription checkbox: no documented dialect support, no Arabic interface, no RTL, and its multi-language mode is gated to the Business plan. CRM sync logs notes under contacts; it does not propose field changes. And coaching is retrospective scorecards; there is no role-play training.
Kafuu is built around one meeting type: the revenue conversation. Pre-call briefs with the angle, live bilingual coaching that never appears on a screen share, CRM field updates with from-to diffs and confidence scores, pipeline analytics, and AI buyers your reps rehearse against before the calls that matter.

Where the difference actually shows up
No “Notetaker has joined” moment
A visible bot in the participant list changes the room: prospects notice, and IT departments file tickets about it. Kafuu captures locally on the rep’s machine, on every platform, with nothing joining the call and nothing on the screen share.
Arabic that goes deeper than a language code
Fireflies lists Arabic among 100+ languages; the product around it, interface, coaching, summaries, dialect handling, runs in English. Kafuu treats the Gulf call as the primary case: code-switched transcription, Arabic nudges, RTL everywhere, and pricing in your own region.
CRM fields, not CRM notes
Logging a summary under a contact still leaves the deal stage, close date, and next step stale. Kafuu proposes the actual field changes with confidence scores, so the pipeline your managers forecast from is the pipeline that actually exists.
Reps who practiced before they picked up
Fireflies can score last week’s call; it cannot give your new rep ten reps against a hard CFO persona before tomorrow’s negotiation. Kafuu’s AI buyers rehearse objections in Arabic and English and hand back a scorecard, with no prospects burned.
Which one fits your team?
- Customer calls are the meetings that matter, and they happen in Arabic, English, or both.
- No bot may ever appear in front of a customer, because yours is a relationship market.
- You want the CRM updated at the field level, reviewed and approved in one click.
- You want reps trained against AI buyers before real calls, not just scored after them.
Fireflies is the better fit in these cases:
- You want free or very cheap AI notes across the whole company, and its free tier is genuinely generous.
- You need the broadest capture surface: mobile, dialers, WhatsApp calls, in-person recording.
- Your meetings span many languages and teams beyond sales, and notes are the whole job.
Kafuu vs Fireflies.ai: common questions
Yes for transcription: Arabic is on its 100+ language list. But there is no documented Gulf-dialect support, no Arabic interface or RTL, and mixed-language meetings require the Business plan’s multi-language mode. Kafuu is bilingual end to end: transcription, coaching, notes, and UI.
By default, yes: “Fireflies.ai Notetaker” appears in the participant list. A bot-free desktop mode exists on paid plans, though audio is still processed in Fireflies’ cloud. Kafuu never joins the call on any platform; capture is local to the rep’s machine.
Fireflies’ Live Assist and Sales Assist provide real suggestions during calls, and we mark that honestly in our table. The differences: Kafuu’s coaching is sales-specific and bilingual (Arabic nudges included), it lives in a content-protected overlay that screen shares cannot see, and it feeds a full sales workflow, CRM field updates, deal analytics, rep training, rather than ending at the note.
Fireflies (July 2026): free tier, Pro $18/user/month ($10 annual), Business $29 ($19 annual), Enterprise $39 annual-only. Kafuu is enrolling a limited number of pilot teams with per-team pilot terms and no seat minimums — join the waitlist for numbers. If pure per-seat cost for generic notes is the deciding factor, Fireflies will likely be cheaper; the comparison changes when coaching, CRM hygiene, and Arabic matter.
